There are three sheep per person in Australia. New Zealand has seven times as many sheep as people. Both pale in comparison to the Falkland Islands' amazing 167 sheep per person!
For the confused: this is a reference to the time around the year 1066 when the English king died with no heir and there were three main factions fighting for control of the throne. The English claimant defeated the Norwegians but quickly lost to the Norman-French.
