I have asked myself the same question many times, and the answer always comes down to reliability. Flashy promotions can attract attention, but they cannot sustain loyalty if the fundamentals are weak. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q138822850 stood out to me because Top Match did not rely on gimmicks.
