Each character represents a country.
Each characters personality is based on the most common stereotype of the country.
The countries relationships with each other somewhat follow history.

This shows the common view of action heroes from America (Arnold, Sylvester, and Bruce with big guns) and England (Bond) with the rather lacklustre heroes of Scandinavia.

This strip shows England with his son Australia. It covers a few things, it shows father and son (more on the thoughts on that here: http://satwcomic.com/damn-kids ) and also makes light of the stereotype of our surveillance cameras.
