Well Sweden had large parts of Denmark for some time too ;)

There's still a joke that Skåne is the parasite of Sweden, we want it to be Danish but they see themselves as swedes. Some of the other swedes have as hard of a time understanding the accent in Skåne as they have understanding danish ^^
