@Lumoseo It's real. You can get sugar from a lot of things. It's higher in fructose than cane sugar, and tastes heavier and not as sweet.
I don't know what "domestic extortionists" OP is referring to. Most cane sugar is imported and taxed heavily. The government wants to support our domestic corn industry, even though it's almost impossible to not consume corn in some sort of food, animal feed or industrial process.
