As a Swede I do feel a bit the same though.
The overly politically correct Swede will sometimes avoid using Swedish flag because that symbolises National Pride, and national pride can be miscrued as Nationalism which is a small step to Fascism...
In my school we did not use the flag because it might be "offensive to people not from Sweden..."
