Reminds me of a funny story of when my father was little, he was there when the Oregon Highway Department (they were responsible at the time for situations like it) blew up a whale with several boxes of dynamite when it washed up on the beach and it was too big to move back out into the ocean. And sadly, the family car was destroyed in the process when a big chunk crushed the roof of it.
