The Icelandic alphabet is actually:
AÁBDÐEÉFGHIÍJKLMNOÓPRSTUÚVXYÝZÞÆÖ (though the z is archaic)

The Þ is indeed pronounced like the TH in "Thunder"
While the Ð is pronounced like the TH in "This"

Tourists here tend to think the Þ is just a P... making their pronunciation of our national park Þingvellir hilarious, yet tiresome :p
Also because of the harsh way we sometimes pronounce LL... kind of a "DDL".
