@Kanda
In #1, are you talking about way back in the War of 1812? When you were still a British colony, and therefore had the assistance of the most powerful navy in the world, and before the US became a world power? If I had been bragging, perhaps you could bring it up, but I very specifically said that who would win in a war should not determine which country is better. In terms of reasons why we don't invade you, I guarantee the loss in 1812 has not had the slightest impact in any calculations since at least the US Civil War, and probably much longer. That the US was cockier than it should have been is a good lesson we should learn from 1812 which still applies. That Canada could win a war with the US is not a lesson that has applied in almost two centuries. And even then, the war was a draw, you just kept us from successfully invading when we at best were lukewarm about doing so.

If #2 and #3 were true, those would be a reason TO invade. Now, both have some truth, but neither is completely true. Whether measuring total amount of fresh water available, per capita, or per square mile, Canada is not number one in the world. But in the first two, which are more important than the third, it's top five and ahead of the US (although only slightly in total amount, but, given that the US has about 10 times more people, it's obviously way ahead in per capita). However, you might want to keep that under your hat, as water resources are likely to become the number one reason why countries invade each other during my lifetime. As for wood, we actually produce about 2-3 times more wood than you do. Of course, we use far more, too. You are definitely a net exporter, which direction we are, depends on how you measure it, and getting good numbers is tough. But even in the unlikely scenario where wood becomes an important enough resource to determine any kind of military strategy the way oil has, water will, etc, we're close enough to self-sufficient in wood that it'd have an utterly negligible impact on us. It wouldn't be a reason to invade OR not to invade you.

I think Canada is a morally better nation, a better place to live (it ranks ahead of the US almost always, I've been tempted to move, but I have roots here, and if I was going to uproot, it'd more likely be to Scandinavia), it has a better political system, a better school system, and I think it has a better economic future, but to say that you could win a war with us in today's world is laughable. We spend more on our military than the next 15-ish countries or so put together. I think this is a bad thing, and the reason why you're doing better than us in most other categories. But Canada winning a war with the US? Now that is funny...
