But since they don't want to deman you, it's really not derogatory. Heck, when I was in China, a chinese mother wanted to take a picture of me with her daughter, just because I was white and had red hair (I think I had red hair back then. I am naturally blonde, but I am not sure. But blonde is just as exotic in China as red, so it really doesn't matter).
Now they have a picture of the daughter with me, that they can show to friends and family. For a few minutes, I was a star.
