@Arenvalde One might be forgiven for thinking it is, with a glance at a satellite map though. Or even that it's connected on both sides with the Salish Sea being a lake instead; the straits linking the sea to the atlantic ocean on the north side of vancouver island are pretty thin, and appear green in many satellite images.
