@Sylverborn I don't really agree that politicians should bring out the flaws in their opponents. Sure it's important that somebody does it if the flaws are severe enough, though there are plenty of examples throughout world history of outstanding leaders who had severe flaws, alcoholism(Churchill) and such, or even crippling disease(FDR) but were great leaders despite those flaws.
But when their opponents do it that will predictably have everything degenerate into name calling just like this election did and that serves nobody. It's better for everybody if the candidates focus on the issues and the programs that they want to fly and explain why their opponents programs are bad etc.
