@MikeJ If the British are forced to pay more for German cars, they will buy fewer German cars, as they will no longer be priced as competetively. As such, the amount of cars that Germany imports into the UK will lessen, and the German auto industry would suffer. That's fairly simple, no? That's pretty basic economics.
