@Theomniadept I'm pretty sure I count as what you consider a liberal, and I happen to have a business degree. I also happen to know that the U.S. is the EU's biggest trading partner, followed by China. Trade with the latter amounts to approximately €1,000,000,000 every single day. The EU is India's number one trading partner. Apparently the tariffs aren't as massive as you think. Yes, there have been times when the EU has felt the need to protect its own industries by setting higher tariffs on certain goods, but it would be rather hypocritical to single it out in this matter, now wouldn't it?
