it's a really big cliché in all of Europe for all I know.
Yeah all ideal worlds have big well-kept gardens in them, but that doesn't mean we don't think the British are obsessed with their lawns
My parents actually met the grasskeeper of the Oval cricket field once or so, and asked him how they kelt the grass so well.
'Buy Dutch grass, mow every day and replace every year'. :P
Heck, the race of grass for lawns is called 'Engels raaigras' here... English pqwyrqpwfdh grass...
