Goodbye forever 4 2, 5:25pm

@Nisse_Hult Police murders are not a good thing, but I will not pay hundreds of innocent lives to catch them. You may be so cruel but I am not.

"Police forces across [the USA have] a long history right up till and including today of harassing and even killing citizens of [color] and getting away with it and not even today your first reaction is to unequivocally condemn this as wrong but you actually try to claim it makes them BETTER at their jobs!" I claim that the solution is worse than the illness. Yes, the solution does make them worse at their jobs. Keep thinking about it. You almost have half the idea.

"...not by some mild comment... by Obama..." He had the chance to discharge the situation and de-escalate. Instead, he gave tacit approval of rioting and the media swam with it. He did this for votes, which was propaganda, and not for any noble reason. He had the power to help the nation heal and instead of signed the death sentence of many young lives. By demonizing those police that would protect minority neighborhoods the murder rate increased.

"There are no angry mobs... in Sweden..." Yes, yes, you are a very nationalistic avowed socialist. You are also a speck of a country and until recently you were culturally homogeneous. Now you’re the European capital of forcing another people to submit to sex acts and unwanted intercourse. At least US citizens know how to keep their pants zipped.

"... it was the same in pre-revolutionary France and Russia - the political right ignored the people and it ended up costing them their heads.
Just as it will in America and everywhere else... What form the upheaval takes can differ but it will come - it always does." With the way you speak of revolution are you sure you're a socialist and not a fascist or communist? Actually, the way you argue is more in the latter camp so I think you would be happier as a communist. Either way, you're making the right-wing nuts look practically saintly.

""… the inner city murder rates" in some select cities "are soaring" some years, even if the rate both nationally, and in those cities, [is] still lower [than] years ago." Only if you stretch the clock back and conflate all violent crime with the single statistic of murder. Over a twenty year period the *base* murder rate is down. When you compare the trend in homicide over the last five years, to the decade before, you can see a sharp incline. Beside the fact that small town America should be declining and the effect people are upset about involves inner cities. The Times article you linked, which I have read before (odd how these things always come up again), even admits to the difficulty of using these statistics. "But whether crime is up or down depends on what data is being looked at — and who is doing the looking." I have done my own looking. You should read some real numbers and try to understand them, but instead lean on the NY times for your stats. What was it? "...Lies, damn lies, and statistics." This is not because all statistics are incorrect but because they can be made to misconstrue a situation. Read https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2015/crime-in-the-u.s.-2015/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded-offense and https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2015/crime-in-the-u.s.-2015/tables/table-14 for some basic knowledge.

"So unless the police [get] to abuse and kill citizens without consequences they can't do their job effectively?" If we destroy the carriers of innocent police officers all we are left with are the scum. It is a nuisance you may be unable to grasp. When the mob pushes for the prosecution of innocent looking officers, in the hopes of catching a few bad apples, the results are bad. This is why I call it a witch-hunt. Here is a US Department of Justice report to help explain https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/2861305/Documenting-and-Explaining-the-2015-Homicide-Rise.pdf

"... proven by years of police misconduct the police forces of [The USA] was not and still isn't held universally and equally accountable as is prescribed by law... no other western nation accepts anything like this in their societies." Prove it with a reliable (none-media) source. I can admit to common sense that a few murders go unsolved in every country. I think your claim is fantastic and ignorant of reality. Prove your erroneous claims or admit you are wrong.

I will be especially interested in you proving that no other western nation has ever covered up police misconduct. What a clownish thing to suggest.

"...a few murders in your fantasy [world] stop many more others... you have absolutely no proof for that." You mean besides the US Department of Justice reports and FBI findings and the academic papers on the matter?

I claim that hunting a wild goose is itself what causes the increased number of murders. I admit that murders go unsolved, and some are perhaps committed by police, but that this does not make prosecuting all cops a good idea. Once again you prove unable to understand the difference.

"... Trumpster..." Is that what we are calling this schmuck now? Why? Whatever, the internet is stupid sometimes.

"...no sane person is ever OK with ANYONE getting away with murder..." I think everyone, even remotely mature, is okay with the fact that some people get away with murder. It is a fact of life and can only be changed by living in an Orwellian nightmare. Perfect control of the population is impossible and so some murders will occur. Some of these murders will go unsolved because the world isn't perfect. Grow up!

"... the likes of you decides policy in your nation..." Not really. Where were you trying to go with this?

"...Fox News-fed little robot..." Look up the word "obsession" you might find your picture there.

"... perfect nation you all live in." Not perfect but by talking with you I'm learning to feel much better about our schools. Thank you for that. Goodbye, again?
