@Eckerman Funny thing about the Spanish American war. During that war, the americans invaded a small isolated island in the atlantic that was under spanish control (forgot its name). When the americans opened fire upon the fortress protecting the island, the spanish sailed out to the american war ships and apologized that they couldn't return their salute since they didn't have any gunpowder. The americans then informed the spanish that they were at war, after which the spanish was forced to surrender. Yep, they hadn't been informed about the war.
