@MichaelTownsend The deities of classic pantheons all slept around; also they participated in incest because most deific partner options were interrelated. If I remember among the Norse-Germanic pantheon Loki was the one doing most of the genderbending. Being like Loki was acceptable but had negative undertones. Loki's nature as a clever, tricky, dishonest, cheat, theif, and all-around bad news is evident. This made him great, like a god should be, but it also made him untrustworthy. Being like Loki wasn't always a bad thing but it was bad more often than good.
That's my two cents anyway. Mythology is really fun.
