We had civil unions before and civil unions were NOT the same thing as same-sex marriage because couples in civil unions were deprived of a number of rights heterosexual married couples had. Like the right to adoption or taxation benefits.

At the same time, I rather wish that they weren't a thing. There's nothing wrong with non-hetero sexualities, it's nothing to be ashamed of. it's nothing to be proud of.

You're born with blue/brown/green/hazel eyes, whatever skintone, whatever sexuality. these aren't things you have control over. They shouldn't be a source of pride or shame.

"Pride" is as in "we are not ashamed", as a push back against centuries of shaming. It is necessary for now. A couple of hundred years in a future the need will disappear, and it's just be the same as any other sexual orientation then, but for now pushback is necessary.

One, I see them as unnecessary, and two, in my experience they tend to be incredibly deviant and degenerate, men walking around nearly completely naked, doing fake sex acts in public and brandishing sex toys. Yeah, no thanks, I don't want my kids exposed to that.

What exactly is that if not degenerate? They are actively trying to sexualize themselves, and I don't care what your race, religion, sexuality, or gender is, you don't have the right to violate public decency and potentially expose the children of strangers to your fetishes. Whatever you do in your own home is your business, but in public, act like a bloody proper adult.
The fact that anyone is allowed to go stage a parade like that with minimal, if any, outrage, goes to show that pushback is utterly unnecessary.

If you still insist on doing bloody parades, wear some respectable clothing. Maybe, just maybe, that'll help with the acceptance.

You see, the fact that some people (like you) remain think that it's degenerate means that it's necessary. It is absolutely necessary to expose your children to such parades so that they wouldn't grow up like you. So that they won't think this "degenerate".

I'm not gay, I'm absolutely heterosexual, by the way, and I would have absolutely no problem taking my kids to such parades. Because what's the farking problem? "Daddy, why this guy has so much leather and that lady has her tits out?" - "Well, mah little pumpkin, some people have somewhat strange fashion choice, they think that it underlines their individuality. Not something I would wear myself, but they are adults, they can wear whatever they choose and love whomever they want."

Until people like you would die out, and your children would lose your prudeness and prejudice, gay parades are very necessary. Think of it (because this is obviously how you would think of it) as of mobile reeducation camps, targeting your children. Trying to reeducate them into normal people.

Is sexualization of children ok?

I disagree. Public decency is incredibly important for a functioning society. Exposing little kids to sexuality and encouraging them to sexualize themselves (whether directly or indirectly) is gonna cause a whole host of issues, because little kids aren't mature enough to make proper, rational decisions, which is why we're getting more, and more, and more, and more early-teens pregnancies, where the "parents" are utterly incapable of raising children. This includes straight sexuality as well, by the way. I don't bloody care if you're gay. I don't care if you're straight either, or if you fuck your pets. Just keep it behind your own doors and don't shove it down the throats of impressionable children.

The ideal is to place a child in a two-parent home with a mother and father, medical mental health experts will agree to that, sociologists, socialists and people with useless bogus degrees on humanities or arts will not.

1. Homosexuality is not a perversion. If you think it is, You should prove it using science or withdraw the assert.
2. No very young child answered your question, you should not answer for them.
3. There was also a reason why women were not given the right to vote in the old days, or to open a bank account. It was no good reason. Injustices and errors also happen for a reason, that does not make them good.
4. You should prove that only an heterosexual couple is a proper family, using science, or withdraw the assert.
5. Science has indeed proved that you get sexual role models from the environment and you do not need your parents for that. Children of single parents have also no problems on this.
6. You should prove with science that a gay couple is more likely to deviate the child in any significant way, or withdraw the assert. As homosexuality does not count as "deviation" more than collecting stamps (less, actually - that one is less common) and there is scientific proof that children educated by homosexuals do not tend to be homosexuals more than the rest of the population anyway.
7. Single parents should indeed be able to adopt, that point from you is also moot.

Your homophoby is, actually, much more deviated in a significant way, antinatural (only humans can be homophobes), damaging and ill as homosexuality will ever be. And it is contrary to science, that is, to reason and proven facts.

Of course I suppose you already heard all this and probably you defend some conspiracy theory according to which science defends false things because of some over-powerful gay lobby.
