Although I personally think that referring to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and the Faroes as Scandinavian makes sense considering all the historical context and that all are descendants of the same people. Most of Icelanders and Faroes are descendants of Norwegians as far as I know.
Also, the son of Garðar Svavarson who was a Swedish Viking and the person who founded Husavik in Iceland moved to Iceland which was called Gardarsholm (Garðarshólmi) back then.
All languages also have their roots in old Norse (Faroese and Icelandic are the coolest tho, you lucky bastards).
But I will of course refer to you as västnorden (pronounced vestnorden) if you prefer that.
