You have over 625.000 active military personnel AND 3.100.000 of reserve - while North Korea has ~1.200.000 of active personnel, 600.000 of reserve, rest is only a paramilitary. Equipment of their army is out of date. And border between countries is still heavily fortified, if I am not wrong.
De facto your country is capable of defending itself. More capable than other 188(!!!) countries of the world. And by number of total military personnel - active, reserve, paramilitary and so on summed together - you are *in first place*.
