Imagine you have a friend who you visit on a weekly basis. Lovely person, interesting, and entertaining. After some years of this, however, about once a month or so when you get to that person's house all they want to talk about is how awful and stupid you are, and why can't you be more like them?
Visiting doesn't seem like such a good idea anymore, does it?
