Never know how to feel about this. On the one hand the very idea of a nuclear weapon is terrifying as the things could flatten an entire city when it was new technology (gods only know what the current ones could do,) but at the same time they've also prevented a lot of more conventional wars even if they did scare the jeebas out of us for half of the twentieth century.
