@Laconic Precisely the resource aspect is the issue. People don’t like sharing and are easily willing to stab eachother in the neck for something as trivial as a smartphone. Guess what they’ll do for a bit of food. Resource wars are nothing new. Point is, there are too many of us and we seriously need to stop exploding our populations if we want to keep a semblance of peace and prosperity. All environmental and social issues would be a lot easier to deal with if there were some 3 billion of us. I see no ethical way of fixing this, though I’m afraid in the end nature will fix the overpopulation the way nature always does. Infighting, disease, infertility, whatever else she can conjure up.
