And they sign a non-binding resolution with fairly poor wording which experts consider as weaker than what North Korea already has sign with South Korea recently.
If you see this as a example of statesmanship, you should read how Obama outmaneuvered the Chinese in the Paris climate talks. And my point of it being impressive is that he managed to stop China in achieving their goal of the talks (which was to create a bloc of countries to make their own agreement to the side of the west, lead by China), while achieving the goals of the US of being a leader in international relations and leading the talks.
