Well your "quick google search" is obviously why you have those statistics wrong. If you looked a little deeper you'd find that the supposed "3.9%" unemployment rate America has is actually based only on people who've looked for a job in the past month and still don't have a job. As you can guess, this leaves out a huge chunk of the total population. The actual percentage is around 7.8%, the lowest it's been since 2001, and much lower than Denmark's.
