@Sigart Apparently the Americans have different methods for cleaning the forest floor of the organic debris that would dry and be a fire hazard. Raking is supposedly a correct term to describe one of them. I don't care enough to google for more information (and all the search results would be about this Trump incident anyway, and I want to keep American politics at an arm's length).
