Bedside manners 25 5, 7:36am

My experience is first bed priority goes to the person/people doing the most important thing the next day. Usually the driver or the person presenting at the conference the next morning. They then figure out who they're comfortable sharing the bed with/who wants to share with them. Next priority goes to the group that has the most people that it would be normal to share a bed, meaning a couple, siblings, or a family. Anyone with small kids gets priority regardless of group size so the kids can sleep on a bed. From there, its usually a pretty civil discussion over who gets any remaining beds since some people, like me, will elect to sleep either in a bathtub, standing up, in a chair, or not at all and remove themselves from the group and the remaining people recognize that all of them want a limited number of beds and group up based on who they're most comfortable sharing a bed with.

In this group, since they're all a family, it would usually be a 3-3 split. If none of them knew each other very well, she'd still get a bed to herself unless she was fine with sharing it and would then be joined by who she was sharing it with.
