@minando Not the factory, the worn out molds for the injection molding process. Those molds all experience several tons of force per cycle, and have a finite service life before they can no longer produce a product to spec. The thing is, a Lego has certain dimensions, material spec, and even part sprue attachments which can easily be cribbed from the product, but the injection molds would tell you sprue dimensions and fill points, and other manufacturing data used for maximum mold efficiency that the LEGO company spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to calculate.
