@stevep59 To be honest comparing doesn't tell us much, There were clearly far more illnesses and deaths associated with SARS than were actually reported and attributed to it because no-one wanted to admit that it was in their town and cause a panic. It's far more difficult to keep it quiet these days.
Most of the deaths seem to be late diagnosis, which is a traditional problem in China compared to many countries.
