The problem with calling "Hawaiian Pizza" such is that pineapple isn't even a native fruit of Hawai'i. James Dole and Co. imported pineapples (along with other tropical fruits) from South America and took advantage of Hawai'i's climate and inhabitants to dominate the tropical fruit market, a position in said market which was solidified when the U.S. annexed the Kingdom of Hawai'i and forcefully obtained it as a new state. Now it's a military-occupied tourist trap.
I honestly do not give a damn if people like pineapples on their pizza, just irks me when they call it Hawaiian.
