@boring7 The EU isn't going to touch applicants who have not (yet) earned general acceptance as independent nations with a ten foot pole. So, if any parts of the UK want to go down that route, they will have to sort their secession out with London FIRST, and THEN, after a number of years of both those sides kicking each other's shins or worse under the negotiation table, the EU will have a look at the newly-solo snippet and decide whether it's (still) a good fit. It's not a journey one should embark on lightly IMHO.
