Oh, both fought each other in Germany as well! :-D My current home town of Stade was fortified by the Swedish in the 1600s (the Lands between Elbe and Weser belonged to Sweden, buildings in Stade still display the Swedish Coat Of Arms) until the Danes put an End to Swedish rule here in 1712 by besieging Stade.
Another quite entertaining History is that of Denmark and the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg... The Danish King insisted the City belongs to Denmark and should acknowledge it, threatened Hamburg again and again - while Hamburg promised to think about it and vote about it, but never did. :-D
