@Tzenker If a few centuries has not yet demonstrated that the US is just the UK writ large, a few more years will make little difference. And while that observation may seem strange, given US history, the UKs relationship with (the rest of) Europe makes a lot more sense from that perspective.

@EzraWil you know what never mind. i realized how dumb both sides were on this. a pig got out of the british mans area and ate an americans potatoes. it was both of our faults, we should have both talked instead of arguing.

@EzraWil Ate potatoes, was shot for invading his farmland, the british officers demanding he be handed over to them for trial, our garrison denied extradition demands, flags were raised guns were loaded. Honestly the island was a powderkeg even before that, and it wouldn't be the first land grab over colonial tensions. Just look at the war of Jenkin's ear.

@EzraWil In the defense of ye olde days, at least then we had the excuse of being somewhat bitter enemies. Ya know, not really fully accepting each others claims about the indy status of the US, land grabbing things to prevent the other from having a greater foothold, and that whole weird US version of isolationism.

I really laugh when I try to imagine the Americans bringing out their cannons and the British their warships, yet both sides were throwing insults in an attempt to get the other fire first. Like, "I wanna shoot their stupid butt but i can't coz they're not firing yet. I'll call their mom a hay muncher and see if that'll work"
