I guess all satw-ers know what it's all about, but I'll explain just in case:
Canada always wanted his mother's attention just like America wanted his father's, but she always loved England's spawn more than her own and even dreamt of becoming his stepmother when EngAme relatioships sucked much. Can became really quiet, polite, smart etc. trying to deserve her praise, but it only annoyed her. Bcs of that attitude he still has problems with his self-esteem, thinks that others are more important than him and often sacrifices himself. Even though he hides it much his love to his mother didn't fully wither and there's still a little hope in his heart that she will finally love him (smells like Stockholm syndrome •-•).
America never really thought of France as of his mother and even looked down on her, but always used to suck up to his dad. He would pretend to dislike him, but once England showed just a bit of love Ame would bust his ass but do everything for him. Ame sometimes feels as insecure as Canada but he has way different character than him and plus France was more toxic than England.
And... England. I don't give any clue what is happening in his head and why he acts this way, maybe he just hides his feelings too much bcs of some trauma. Deep inside he loves his children much and is even proud of them.
Everything here is just a theory, might be mistaken.
Sorry if I've hurt someone's feelings, never want to insult anybody<3. And thanks for all your historical facts you sometimes write in the comments, it's really interesting and helps me to make my arts and theories more historically accurate.
With a taste of your lips I'm on a ride
You're toxic, I'm slipping under
With a taste of poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?
And I love what you do
But you know that you're toxic~
For most educated upper Canadians(ontarians and qubecois) it’s more of a abandonment issue with france because they abandoned them to the British during the seven years war.
To maritimers(Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador and P.E.I) it more of “we’re related to the Vikings not you lot so bugger off!”
@Historygirl2020 i want to see a good comic where Canada is told that his mother abandons him to English and England is now his dad and America is brother (i think Ame was happy at that point, wohoo, bros!!!)
- I'm sorry, Mr England...
- You can call me dad now, my boy
:'3
@Irene and young quebec is in the corner cursing in French while Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia surrounding him chanting “one of us”
@closetghostgal I can't understand loving children, so u better help me xd
Sealand is just a seafort, not even 1/100 as successful as other England's children.
@Irene well...Sealand DID fight in WW2 and has a dark history...hence why I made my Sealand older and more mature. I know a lot about loving children bc I thrive off of family books, yet I never experienced it myself so I can see England kinda feeling disappointed at Sealand...Canada and Sealand being pals?
@closetghostgal sure thing that Canada likes his lil' brother ^^
Oh, I'm sorry, I've always thought of Sealand just like Christiania: "ugly seafort". But I'm always ready to change my mind
Btw, r u really from Philippines? I first thought that you're British)
@closetghostgal "clusterfuck" is a world mostly used in Britain, i didn't know what that means and decided to look up for it. But i guess that i nag too much and your English vocabulary is just expanded much;)
@Irene [grabs CH veteran mic] It's because of their relations then and now, the US helped the Philippines a lot to start being more modern and industrialized after 'beating' the shit out of Spain, and the US helped Philippines become independent...but some wars between them happened and shit so they became more distant then WW2 happened and the Americans got rid of the Japanese then there's modern day relations where Filipinos love Americans and think poorly of themselves. America does help Philippines economically and politically as well today.
Somehow the whole thing between France and Canada remind me a lot of the song, "Let Me Make You Proud" from Tangled the Series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF6SzWvggq0 that song right there if you're interested in listening to it ;D
