@Dayvi - The bid was only confirmed as successful on the 8th of April there, but I'd expect something of the order of 1_000 attendees, including several authors who're just going as ordinary attendees (as well as the posted guests who include Jim Burns).

@Dayvi your going to the US too? (I read Humon wanted to go to a convention in Philadelphia) but I didn't know you were going too, are you guys planing on visiting some historical sites there (Liberty Bell, Independence Hall etc) ...I've always wanted to see both those things in person.. especially the Liberty Bell, that thing is so old!

@Dayvi, it's a ways off, but there's a Scottish bid for the 2014 BSFA Eastercon which may be successful - http://www.satellite4.org.uk/ by the same team who brought us Satellite 3 http://www.satellite3.org.uk/
