Japan appears as a man with black hair, obsessed with robots and wearing underwear on his head. He claims he creates robots in order to not have any foreigners working in his countries, being an isolasionist. He also has high standards for children, claiming that in his country, teenagers should have already saved the world.
On the other hand, he deals with earthquakes often, but unlike other countries, he's used to it and doesn't need too much help.
His sister, on the other hand, i seen as polite and quiet, being one of Sweden's usual guests, but is prone to explosive nosebleeds due to her love of yaoi, making her a fujoshi. She is courted by Germany, but due to Denmark and Netherlands' "interventions", they end up cleaning up Sister Japan's blood.
