"Cadet Canada, Female, permission to fall into two platoon, Corporal!"
I'm a Royal Canadian Army Cadet, can you tell?
S. Canada is in Summer Dress, and I'm sorry to anybody else who is a Cadet.
I can't draw the cap. Believe me, I tried.
Also, I think I drew the eyes too shiny.
I don't know who the Corporal is yet. Feel free to suggest one.
(Oh, and in my Platoon alone, there is two Larson, Dylans [Not real names, just similar to their real names], and they have to say either
"Cadet Larson, D, Female", or "Cadet Larson, D, Male". løl.)
Gees Thanks! All my friends at University can draw to some degree, and I find it difficult to even trace. They all have cool pictures of stuff they've drawn as screen savers, and i'm left with a picture of me and my cat. Thank you sooooo much. Definitely up voting all your stuff.
@Henlaar
It's not exactly SatW related, so I think I should put it on my DA, maybe?
And I'll need to wait until after school, I won't have my art there. I'll send you a link when I get home!
@Animaiden I didn't mean it like that!! My cat used to be my screen saver, and I used to show it to him, and when I showed him the picture you drew he looked really shocked!
The picture, once again, is great.
The hat looks alright, but I agree with the eyes. There was definitely room for improvement there.
Otherwise, a good drawing. Could you do one for an English Sailor, i'm in need of an amazing screensaver!
I agree with Henlaar the beret looks fine. And that maybe some darker, richer blues would improve the eyes.
I find how much her back is arched a little stranger. Just a bit too much, maybe, like she WAS standing normally at-ease, but is recoiling from something... which actually would fit with the uncertain look on her face, like so:
(pulls back) "...I'm sorry Sir, did you just say the military is going to ISSUE female soldiers their undergarments now, as though bras were one-size-fits-all? This will not end well..."
(Yes this really happened in the CAF once, and yes, it did not work at all. :P )
My next issue is with how pixilated the picture is, with jagged-looking lines. That one you usually fix by drawing on a larger file size (most of the artists on the comic art site I work with use a WIP image size of 400% of what the final size will be) Then shrink the final image to an appropriate size (and this size you've used is pretty small for viewing on modern computers, so by "final" I'd suggest at least double this). This also results in thinner, sharper black lines.
I hope that's helpful! You have talent, so I hope you keep drawing! ^_^
