As a Icelander with danish blood I have to admitt this is true. There's been alott of propaganda against the danish, mostly to make excuses for the dickish way we got independence.

We had been offered independence and declined it, then denmark got taken over by the german forces in WW2 and we decided to declare independence at that point.

The king of denmark sent us a letter where he wished us well but was dissapointed in the way we decided to achieve it.

We were basicly like adult children refusing to move out only to suddenly move out cause mommy got a new husband

because our split was in accordance with the 1918 sovereignity agreement where we could end that agreement at first after 25 years.
ww2 had little to do with this, if anything it probably caused Iceland to wait a year and not declare independence in 1943

i am not familiar with any offer of independence between 1918 and 1944

We just returned from a two week vacation in Denmark. It was pretty amazing how often the Danes thought we were Danish and would start talking to us right off in Danish. Then they'd get real quiet as we'd all look at them very confused and say "English or German?"

It's Like England Fans finding out that Germany doesn't care about England's 1966 world cup victory.

I've known Danes, I've known Norwegians, and I've known Fins. Never had a chance to meet an Icelandic person, and I've only tangentially known any Swedes. (Friend of a friend sort of thing I met once at a party.)

To me as a native English speaking American they all sounded pretty incomprehensible (particularly the Fins.) However Danish irritates me because I can almost-but-not-quite understand it.

That said, all of the people from your dysfunctional family have been really nice to me so STOP BICKERING! Jeeze.

Click the You button in the blue bar, then click on your username. This will take you to your member page. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and click the 'edit your profile' button. This will take you to the personal info page, which has a button saying 'change your avatar here' right at the top.

@Strawberry_bat um ok, in your "you" page there is a "change avatar" click on it and it will give take you to a page of avatars to choose from (if you don't like any you can always refresh the page to get new ones) if you want to make your own you click on the
"make your own" and it gives you a list of comics to choose from (it's best to know the title of the comic you want so you don't have to keep strolling fun fact you can type the first letter example if you want a comic from The Boat is being floated (I just clicked on random comic) you can type T and it takes you to the "T" comics (useful huh?)

but I think you need a certain amount of comments before you can make your own but I don't know how much
