Happy New Year everyone! May the next 12 months (and the rest of your life) be filled with all the things you don't necessarily want but are good for you!
In Denmark it's a tradition to jump from a chair (or anything really) right before midnight so that you set off in the old year and land on the ground in the new year for good luck.
When this was first explained to me as a child, I though it meant you could jump whenever and skip ahead to New Year if only you knew the right way to do it.
December 29: "Where's Denmark?"
December 30: "This is very strange. Denmark still hasn't shown up."
December 31: "Where the hell is he? He has NEVER done this-
January 1: -GOD DAMN IT DENMARK!!"
uh oh :P Denmark made Norway's fish become boneless, had Iceland's volcano party hat erupt, REALLY pissed off Sweden, and, worst of all, made Finland drop/ some how shatter his beer/champagne.
(dun dun dun......... i guess)
Now all of hell is loose.
@AwfulLawful I think it was champagne. Humon usually draws beer bottles as green whilst champagne is (at least as far as I know) often served in yellowish-beige bottles like the one Finland held.
