Åland is a secondary character in the comic. An autonomous region of Finland, he has featured prominently for his size.
Appearance:
Åland is shown wearing a blue sweater with red-yellow rims, as in the flag of Åland, together with brown trousers. He has gray-brown hair and square glasses.
Personality:
Always the quiet ones, Åland is a silent bookworm who can go pretty berserk when required to. He is a homosexual and deeply in love with Sweden.
Relationships:
He is married to or cohabiting with Sweden, although a legal subject of the Finnish republic. It is not made clear whether he has a blood relationship with Sweden or Finland. However, noting he is in a romantic relationship with the former, this is unlikely.
