Storebror Sverige

Jag har ofta hört svenskar säga detta, och de andra nordiska verkar ha väldigt skilda reaktioner.
Jag är inte helt säker vad de flesta norrmän tycker om detta, men de få jag har hört verkade inte ha mycket emot det.

i'm norwegian (as you can probably tell by my username. XD) and i am like: meh. fair enough. they're the oldest, i don't mind. norwegians often call sweden "søta bror" which simple means "sweet brother" it's believed to be kinda condescending, as in "awwww! you're so cute! X3" but it's never meant in a CRUEL way, so... i'm ok with it, and kinda agree. we ARE kinda like brothers. BOTH with sweden and denmark.

@Svear . Sweden was "neutral" in second World War, but must remember that Sweden helped Finland quite a much for example in Winter War and Finland is grateful for that to Sweden;
“It is known that at least 8,000 Swedes voluntarily went to Finland to fight alongside the Finns. The Swedish government and public also sent food, clothing, medicine, weapons and ammunition to aid the Finns during this conflict. This military aid included: 135,402 rifles, 347 machine guns, 450 light machine guns with 50,013,300 rounds of small arms ammunition; 144 field guns, 100 anti-aircraft guns and 92 anti-armor guns with 301 846 shells; 300 sea mines and 500 depth charges; 17 fighter aircraft, 5 light bombers, 1 DC-2 transport aircraft turned into bomber, and 3 reconnaissance aircraft, totally comprising 1/3 of the Swedish air force at the time.”

Us Norwegians don't think anything bad about it. In fact we often refer to Sweden as our big brother too and that we are he younger one, and usually it's pretty nice. However, whenever there's a competition (especially sports involved skiing) our Norwegians have only one goal to accomplish. And that's to beat Sweden!
There's even a new tv program that's all about Norway vs Sweden, which is all about this brotherly competition between the two countries :D

I like this one. It's like you're actually talking to them.

Sweden you got only 1/3 right, you don't pass the test. You are bigger yes, But we have the best Education System not only in North but in all of known world and we would beat you 6-1 in war, and don't take Russia or Nato in it!
