@Hinoron Seems like the lion assortment ran out pretty quicly and everyone had to settle with what was left when they got to pick. ,

But it's okay, we love our special lion even with it's apparent disregard of safety with blades...

I'm Austrian and I met a number of Finns over the years, and yes, Finns are a very special kind of crazy.

But their craziness is so refined and ingenious that you just _have_ to admire them for it. ;-)

@Finlandball The special lion`s first apperance was at king Gustav I Vasa´s tomb. His son Johan assumed the title of "Grand Duke of Finland and Karelia", shortened to Grand Duke of Finland in 1577 (or soon thereafter), the lion became closely associated with Finland. That was before prince Johan killed his brother king Erik with pie soup and become king Johan III.
