A friend and I were watching the nature program “Life in Cold Blood” with the very British David Attenborough as the host, when my friend said, “Look at him standing there with his hands in his pockets, just talking about the animals. Try comparing him to Steve Irwin. If he was still around he would have jumped out of nowhere and wrestled that thing!”
And the mental image was just too funny for me to ignore.
And when it's Americans narrating everything is just UTTERLY AMAZING! Like: 'OMG can you believe that this cheeta can run soooo fast?! How does it do it?!' At least that's the impression we have of it in our house. That whenever it's an American narrating a show about nature and stuff like that it's as if that person has never heard about any of the things they're saying and everything is a giant question. Like 'How on earth did these creatures manage to ever come into being?!' and we're just sitting there like 'Well ... clearly they manage quite well? And you already know how they did it, 'cause you're going to tell us now ... how is it so surprising??'
Well now i'm sad that we'll never see David Attenborough and Steve Irwin together in a documentary.
Just think about it. David Attenborough standing in front of a tree and calmly speaking about some bird with Steve wrestling a crocodile in the background
So everyone in England loves David Attenborough(it's a kind of default), but we're still cross about one thing. We had a poll to name a ship and the winning name was RRS BoatyMcBoatFace, which everyone will agree is an epic name, but of course the Government wouldn't allow it, so it was named RRS David Attenborough!! XD

From the massive trolls on this side of the pond, I gave my English friends so much shit about that name. But we LOVED it. It was hilarious without being offensive. The man never wants people to have any fun >.<
omg.
David Attenborough and Steve Irwin truly represent their countrpart countries. Especially how different they both are.
both are legends too in their own right.
