The odd thing is that there was a comic in my local newspaper yesterday that made the same joke about Jansson’s casserole (a Swedish potato dish that is popular also in Finland). It is called Janssonin kiusaus, Jansson’s temptation, in Finnish. To people who are not Moomin fans, the woman in the comic is Tove Jansson, the creator of The Moomins.



Where is Iceland? He would be totally cool with this.

@AinoKyllikki And to anyone unfamiliar with Fingerpori comics, (especially to foreigners since to my knowledge Fingerpori is only available in Finnish and has never been translated to any other language) they, like this one, are all about puns/play on words.

In this one Tove JANSSON is making JANSSON's casserole. This comic is pretty obvious but there are some really clever ones as well.

@Fortzon fingerpori has some older ones in swedish too, but i guess its part of sweden and finland having old bonds
