Greenland is a former roommate of Denmark, and is still financially dependent on him.
Denmark tends to push Greenland around, which is possibly why Greenland shows such a strong dislike and open hostility towards him, claiming he ruined his life (seen in We Should Be Friends, where he is introduced). He has not shown any similar hostility towards any other countries, having civil conversations with his neighbours, for example contemplating oil with Canada (I Want Oil) and bonding over whale hunting with Svalbard and Faroes (Moby is a Dick). Greenland, like his neighbour Faroes, is an avid whale hunter. This is also shown in deleted comic shown here.
Greenland is depicted as a Greenlandic Inuit, and has short black hair, olive skin and small eyes.
