Maplepoo? Seriously we don't put maple syrup on everything! Mostly just breakfast foods, on dinner sometimes, in*some* health items, bath products, it's a good degreaser, gets gum outta your hair pretty well, oh and it's a good mosquito repellant but I SWEAR that's it!!! ;)
I did move to Canada after the second election of G.W. Bush. It took years and lots of money, but my wife and I eventually got in via the "Skilled Worker" program.
@Maritime_Canuck My wife and I moved to Ireland for similar sentiments, though it was well in to the Obama presidency before managing it. Even with a democrat in office US culture remains strongly anti-intellectual and too automobile-dependent. No regrets at all.
While the irony is tempting, we do recognize that such a thing is of no practical use, and nor would we find the ongoing expense of maintaining and manning it feasible.
I don't hear much about US tourists coming up here all that often, though I'm sure we have them (nature enthusiasts, for example. I'm equally sure they're outnumbered significantly by "Snowbirds"; well-off Canadians who own or rent homes in Florida or California and spend the worst few months of the winter down there. Keeping a circular flow across the boarders is in our best interest and theirs (seriously, all it would take for Florida's economy to crumble is for the Canadians to stay home for a couple years).
Mind you, the Snowbirds "fly south" for winter on PLANES, almost exclusively, so it's not like a wall would impede them much as it it. Just another way it would be pointless.
OMG another american election.... Why do americans think, that everyone must know and care?! We don't care!!!!! This is your "chosen by god" country problem!
Well if the old hag wins she will propably invade more countries than Trump. but plz. 2-3 bombing runs don't really matter
@Elzo most of us don't want to know the presidents either. we aren't the ones fueling the signal fire! i would rather it be like Canada, where maybe once in a while we learn about their PM and then back to having serial killers in small towns and hating the inuit. and kevin smith.
@Mecharic
Yelling is the cornerstone of democracy.
The "cracy" part of demos + cracy.
The Novgorod Veche style.
The finnic Kärajad style.
The (Al)Thing.
@Eric_the_Australian
He realised that the three people he hates (Wales, Scotland, N.I) are now practically dead, which cheered him up enough to harness the power of Rome to put the fire out. Also, NHS.
