@Fionia The point is that you CAN make infinitely long German words by adding more and more words to it, but only public officials and politicians actually like to do that. So yeah, those are mostly government agency speak.
@FrankNStein And the most impressive is that Google Translate gives me something understandable... Guys german language can be fun but a little crazy sometimes.
@FrankNStein Grundstücksverkehrsgenehmigungszuständigkeitsübertragungsverordnung. That sounds so weird, I had to look it up. Google confirms it exists, but crashed when I tried to find out what that Verordnung actually regulates. I guess that word is not meant for use by the unqualified.
@FrankNStein Ich mag Ihr kleines Spiel, hier ist meine Eintragung.:
"kindercarnavalsoptochtsveiligheidsinspectierapportagesuitslagbesprekingafspraakdatumsovereenstemmingsbericht".
it means: "Children's carnivals persession safety inspection report results deliberation meeting date confirmation message".
yes, just as in German you can string words together in Dutch as well, but of course it'll become a much to official term for the common man to actually use.
then again, I guess people would rather be massaged by sister Netherland than sister Germany.
Q: why did you go from German to Dutch to English.
A: because I can.
