Universal health care is paramount to a healthy society.

I got called a communist when in year 1 when I lived in the US lol.

@Baronese Kinda. Some people I know (especially older people) use "communist" to mean "weirdo" or "non-conformist". It has nothing to do with the ideology, and sometimes it's not even political. "You don't like chocolate ice cream? You communist." or "What kind of communist keeps their lights on at 2 AM?"

As an American, I'm sad to say that this is actually a very popular view on our healthcare system. I think it's completely broken and needs a complete overhaul... HELP US PLEASE!!!!

Would gladly pay the higher taxes if it meant no more debt from medical bills.

tbf even the American populace feels that way about the American healthcare system. Or so that is the general feeling I get when I talk to other working-class Americans. xD It's our government, which is run by a majority of selfish rich white guys, wh don't want it to change. :/

What's worse is that the average American is gullible enough to believe when a politician displays universal healthcare in a negative light by saying "Well, you'd have to pay higher taxes if you want this." while also failing to mention that Universal Health Care also dismantles the need for Insurance because if everyne is paying for it in taxes, why would yoou need to also pay for health insurance?

Sure, Taxes would be more expensive, but payinng more for one and dismantling the other is better than paying for both. :T

@OverTheMoon It's not that the government is full of rich white guys. It's that no one else wants to be apart of the government and would rather do some other bullshit and complain about the government when they could do something about it

Hi, I'm am American with decent insurance and I still think socialized healthcare would be great. People shouldn't have to suffer just because they're poor.
