The vikings tried very hard to prevent Christians from getting into Sami land because the vikings valued Sami magic very highly and often went to them for magical guidance, and they didn’t want to share that magic with Christians or want them to spoil what the Sami people had in some way. Unfortunately the vikings themselves were eventually converted and then tried to convert the Sami people themselves.

Denmark really did put Greenland through a lot of shit and fucked everything up like you wouldn't believe, and today Greenland has the highest number of suicides of any country (They weren't on the list for a long time because they were counted as part of Denmark).

The girl at the end is Sami (I know, I keep changing her design, but I think I'm finally happy with it) the indigenous people of Scandinavia. They were horribly treated by Sweden and Norway and, like Greenlanders, are still subjected to ridicule, so it's no wonder they didn't adopt the Scandinavian Cross either.

Santa is a...

Everybody knows Santa’s sledge is pulled by reindeer, lives somewhere cold and even the Finns say he lives in Lapland.

The Sami people are the “Indians” of the North and they belong in the same group as Native Americans and Aboriginals. They live in Lapland, an area that stretches from north Norway over Sweden and Finland to Russia.

I would have liked there to be more characters in the comic, but I don’t have a lot of time to draw today, so this will have to do.
